Illegal Afghan refugees have become a serious challenge to the internal security and law and order of host countries.

Following Germany and Iran, Turkiye has also intensified its crackdown on illegal Afghan refugees, with new arrests continuing.

According to Afghan media outlet Afghanistan International, Turkish police carried out operations against illegal migrants in Sirnak and Bayburt, arresting six human traffickers along with fifteen Afghan refugees.

Turkish authorities have transferred all detained Afghan nationals to deportation centers and have begun the process of returning them to Afghanistan.
