In Afghanistan, the Taliban regime has pushed Afghan citizens into severe economic hardships.

According to the Afghan newspaper Hasht-e Subh, ordinary Afghans can no longer afford even a single daily meal despite the Taliban regime's claims of economic improvement.

Residents of Kabul said the Taliban regime's claims of a better economy do not match the realities of people's daily lives.

The newspaper further reported that the Taliban's restrictions on women and their exclusion from economic activities have inflicted significant damage on Afghanistan's economy.

It reported that employment opportunities remain extremely limited under the Taliban regime, while the country also lacks the conditions necessary to attract foreign investment.
