Former RAW Chief admits failure of India’s efforts to isolate Pakistan
May 15, 2026

Former Chief of India’s intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), A. S. Dulat, has acknowledged the failure of India’s efforts to diplomatically isolate Pakistan internationally.

In a recent interview, he said India has unsuccessfully attempted to isolate Pakistan globally from the very beginning. He noted that despite utilizing all available resources, international lobbying, and proxies, New Delhi has failed to achieve these objectives.

The former RAW Chief admitted that it is India’s misconception that Pakistan would disintegrate, asserting that Pakistan will never break apart.

He said New Delhi has not succeeded in isolating Islamabad internationally despite India’s terrorism-related narrative against Pakistan.

He observed that, under the current circumstances, India itself appears to be moving toward diplomatic and political isolation.

Referring to Pakistan’s military leadership, A. S. Dulat said Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is receiving greater international attention and recognition.

He further said the US President has described Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as his “favorite field marshal.”

He said Pakistan’s balanced, active, and responsible diplomatic role as a mediator has strengthened its international standing.

Talking about the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the former RAW Chief said the “invisible aspect” of Kashmir is the continuing unrest, uncertainty, and sense of deprivation among the people.

Analysts say the former RAW Chief’s realistic remarks have exposed the failure of India’s anti-Pakistan designs and served as a wake-up call for the Modi government.

They noted that Pakistan has repeatedly presented evidence before international forums regarding India’s anti-Pakistan activities.

According to experts, A. S. Dulat’s statement reflects growing frustration within the Indian establishment.
