A latest report by the United Nations says Taliban leaders and fighters committed sexual violence against women.

According to the Afghan media, United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan documented twenty one cases involving fifteen women and six girls in 2025.

According to the report, Taliban leaders and fighters subjected Afghan women to rape and gang rape. Taliban officials detained protesting women and subjected them to torture, ill-treatment and sexual violence.
