Analysts urge Muslim Ummah to raise its voice against Islamophobia & work collectively
August 20, 2023

Dr. Qibla Ayaz (Chairman, Council of Islamic Ideology):

It is very unfortunate to see that Islamophobia is increasing in the European states including Holland. The Muslims states should raise this issue on the OIC platform, should take firm actions and design coherent strategies to influence the European policy makers and the European society. This has become indispensable specifically after the events in Sweden and now in Hague, Holland. For the West, it is maybe the freedom of writing and freedom of thought but it is not acceptable to us because freedom does not mean hurting people. The Austrian Court has declared that insulting Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is not part of freedom of expression. The European states should take solid actions against this issue because it is challenging the law and order situations and the peace of European society.

Dr. Muhammad Khan (Defense Analyst):

"Water Terrorism" was begun by India soon after the independence of Pakistan in 1948. Pakistan was deprived of water. Pakistan has faced water terrorism from India particularly after the 1980s. Water terrorism is increasing with every passing tide. I witnessed this issue in 1992. Modi has said in his speeches that no single drop of water should be given to Pakistan. Pakistan should also focus on designing some strategies to preserve water. We have to construct dams in various areas, which will benefit us particularly, it will control the floods. We have to take pre-emptive actions at international level against this issue. There are safeguards available in the Indus water treaty. India persistently violated these safeguards under Modi's reign. India is using this strategy against Pakistan but Pakistan has to react with coherent strategies not emotionally. We need to strategize things. The flood has impacted Pakistan on a large scale. India's water terrorism is a crime and violation of the Indus Water Treaty. To counter India, we have to take actions at international forums such as the World Bank and United Nations.

Dr. Dost Muhammad (Religious Scholar):

The World is now becoming a global village and we have to respect each other's religions. But unfortunately, the west is not respecting other religions. The Muslim states need to take action. It is the need of the hour to unite against Islamophobia and also knock on the doors of the United Nations and other forums. We (Muslims) respect other religions and holy books. Therefore, in return, others should also respect our religion and Holy Quran. The Ambassadors should contact people from other states and convince them that the Quran is not something else; rather it is a book which guides us in the right path. Rulers have the authority and they should talk to other states' leaders about this issue. OIC has been established to address such issues with unity.

Abdullah Gull (Defense Analyst):

The ideology of Hindutva is prevailing in India and there is no place for the minorities in Bharat. India is lying about the proportion of Muslim population in India. In India, the minorities are not safe and secure. The Manipur incident depicts India's real face. There are problems in the Indian caste system as well where one caste humiliates another. The Fascist BJP government is responsible for the plight of minorities in India. India portrays itself as the biggest democracy but is afraid of Kashmiris demand for the right of self-determination. India cannot reverse the hatred in country which has been created by the BJP.
