Pakistan’s armed forces rendering matchless sacrifices in war against terrorism: Analysts
December 12, 2023

Brig (Retd) Said Nazir (Defense Analyst):

Pakistan shares a long border with Afghanistan and the militants have some hideouts near Pak-Afghan border. Due to a similar outlook, the militants are difficult to be recognized. Moreover, the Afghan border security facilitates the terrorists to enter Pakistan for their nefarious designs. Pakistani forces have destroyed certain hideouts near the border area but the militants keep on changing their locations. Once again we witnessed a tragic incident in D.I. Khan where the soldiers were targeted and many soldiers embraced martyrdom. The government and the security forces are committed to continue intelligence-based operations to take the war against terror to its logical end.

Brig (Retd) Waqar Hassan (Defense Analyst):

Pakistan is successfully fighting a war against terrorism. There were certain commitments made by Taliban firstly in Doha accord and then Taliban Supreme leader also vowed that Afghan soil will not be used against any other country. But unfortunately Afghanistan is using terrorism as a tool to pressurize other countries. Pakistan has a resolve and determination to wipe out the menace of terrorism from its roots by the end of next year. A number of militant organizations are active in Afghanistan and it is the responsibility of the interim government in Afghanistan to shut down the terrorist factories. Pakistan hosted 5 million Afghan refugees for the last many decades but now it is the time that they should be sent back. The sacrifices of our frontline forces and law enforcement agencies in war against terrorism are matchless.

A.M Shahid (Former Ambassador):

India is not ready to give the people of Kashmir their right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolution. India is also violating human rights in IIOJ&K which is a clear violation of international norms. We should not have expected good news from the Indian Supreme Court as far as article 370 is concerned as it was expected that the Indian Supreme Court would go with the narrative of the present Indian government. Pakistan always extended its moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmir issue and highlighted the Kashmir dispute on all international forums in a befitting manner.

Abdullah Gul (Defense Analyst):

Pakistani forces are conducting successful operations against the militants across the country. However, the terrorists continued their cowardly terrorist activities and hit soft targets. The international community is not supporting Pakistan as the funds under Support Coalition Funds have not been released yet. Pakistan is fighting this crucial war from its own resources. The government must also take actions against the culprits involved in anti-state propaganda through social media. The interim government in Afghanistan must take the responsibility and should not allow its soil to be used against other countries. The world acknowledges the role of Pakistan against terrorism and during this war we have lost many precious lives.
