September 07, 2026

In Afghanistan, Taliban regime’s continued restrictions have become a major hurdle in delivering aid to the Afghan people.

According to a report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), eighteen humanitarian programmes in Afghanistan remained suspended in July due to interference by the Taliban authorities. Restrictions imposed on women also created serious obstacles to humanitarian operations.

Twelve incidents of violence against aid workers and humanitarian assets were recorded in the month of July, while twelve aid workers were detained.
