Dr. Usman Chohan (Economic Expert):The government is keen to attract more and more remittances from Pakistani diaspora based abroad. Pakistan work force present in different countries is very talented and committed therefore the government is taking every possible step facilitate them. In this regard, the government is trying to equip young people with internationally competitive education, skills and global employment opportunities. It is just because of the fact that global job market has changed over the decade as on the basis of economic performance of countries and regions. Some countries are very open to foreign job seekers. However, some countries’ job market is shrinking over slowed economic performance. In this regard, gulf countries offer huge job potential to Pakistani workers especially skilled labour. This is why; Prime Minister Shehbaz sharif has rightly directed the concerned officials and departments to seek more and more job opportunities for Pakistani youth aspiring to seek jobs abroad.
Dr. Shafqat Munir (Economic Expert):It is very welcoming and positive indicator that the government is inclined to equip our youth with well demanded skills of global job market. The government is deeply committed to national economic uplift through export of skilled labour force So, it is need of the hour that our labour market should be familiarized with changing global criterions of job market. In this regard we need to teach at least five major UN recognized languages to our labour force so that it may perform better abroad. Then, there must be some strict mechanism for tracing of our labour force to avoid violations of visa category i.e a labourer must remain confined to job mentioned in visa. Moreover, we need to teach our labour force about the habit of saving money for need time so that they may not be empty pocket on their return home.
