Analysts hail PM Shehbaz’s Turkiye visit

Amb. Waheed Ahmad (Former Diplomat):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Turkiye is very significant in the background of ever growing warm ties between both the countries. There is huge potential of expansion of bilateral cooperation in defence and economic sectors. Business to business engagement is a fundamental component of economic diplomacy. Turkiye may assist Pakistan in up-gradation of power transmission lines. We can make our economy more robust through engagement with other countries.  We must also focus on European markets along with Gulf markets. Pakistan enjoys fantastic ties with entire Muslim world and Pakistan can enhance exports to all Muslim countries. Turkish people tend to exports to European markets, however, we may sell our products through official channels.

 

Amb. Haroon Shaukat (Former Diplomat):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is in Turkiye and holding meetings with Turkish business leaders to attract Turkish investment to Pakistan. In this regard, he is participating in high level Pakistan-Turkiye Business Conference to highlight investment opportunities in Pakistan. Pakistan has very strong ties with Turkiye and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is willing to take this relationship to next level. Turkiye is already heavily engaged and involved in different sectors in Pakistan. Pakistanis and Turkish companies are extending all out cooperation in diverse sectors.
