Amb. Waheed Ahmad (Former Diplomat):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has very rightly directed authorities to resolve issues related to overseas Pakistanis along with extension of maximum facilitation. Basically, the government highly values the services rendered by overseas Pakistanis; therefore, the government has launched numerous initiatives launched to address the problems of overseas Pakistanis. Factually, expats are our real heroes who remit billions of dollars to Pakistan every year. These remittances reduce our foreign exchange deficit and bridge current account deficit to a large extent. Expats are facing serious challenges from local land grabbers (Qabza mafia) on their properties. This mafia needs to be handled with iron hands to satisfy our expats.  They also face prolonged litigation of their cases. Due to flaws in our judicial system, these issues are lingering on year after year. In this regard, the government needs to take necessary measures to resolve such issues faced by our expats
