All Parties Hurriyat Conference has renewed its call for Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world to observe August 5, Youm-e-Istehsal, as Black Day to mark the seventh anniversary of India's unilateral abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A. 

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement in Srinagar, said seven years of India's constant military siege, heinous crimes and colonial policies in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have failed to crush the Kashmiris' legitimate struggle for a plebiscite.

He said the unprecedented steadfastness and bravery of Kashmiris had proved that their passion for freedom is invincible.

The spokesman appealed for a complete shutdown across the occupied territory and peaceful protest rallies across the world on August 5.

Democratic Freedom Party has announced full support to the APHC's call for Black Day observance.

In a statement, the DFP urged the United Nations, OIC, European Union and rights bodies to intensify efforts for protection of human rights, independent access to IIOJK, release of political detainees and dialogue for a just settlement.
