Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Dr. Muhammad Najeeb Naqi has urged the members of the European Parliament to continue playing their role for highlighting the Jammu and Kashmir dispute at international level. 

He was talking to a delegation of Members of the European Parliament who called on him in Muzaffarabad.

They discussed in detail the human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the role of the international community in promoting lasting peace in the region.

The AJK President said Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute that has remained unresolved for decades.

He expressed concern over what he described as the grave human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and said it must be examined by international human rights institutions.

Later, the delegation visited the special stalls set up at the Presidency to highlight Kashmiri culture, tourism and mineral resources.                 

On the occasion, local artists and singers presented a cultural performance, while a documentary featuring tourist attractions, natural beauty and the cultural heritage of Azad Kashmir was also screened.
