Amb. Waheed Ahmad (Former Diplomat):Istanbul meeting of Strategic Political and Defence Committee format established under the Makkah Agreement for Joint Defence is a positive development towards the implementation of the agreement. I think that this meeting will set parameters and future framework to move forward the Makkah Alliance. This meeting will outlines parameters and blueprints for course of action under this agreement. Moreover, it is further important that all three countries Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have clearly stated that alliance is not against any country because agreement talks about the collective security of the members. Therefore, cooperation and collaboration between member countries will concentrate on collective security and economic progress.
