Analyst hails Pakistan-KSA diversified cooperation
August 28, 2026

Dr. Shafqat Munir (Economic Expert):Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have reaffirmed their commitment to enhanced cooperation in agriculture and food security, while also seeking to expand investment and trade ties. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are friendly countries and Pakistan is getting a lot of support from Saudi Arabia. It is a great development towards the positive direction that both the strategic partners Pakistan and Saudi Arabia now are focusing on deepening economic and agriculture ties to translate longstanding relationship into a stronger, mutually beneficial trade and investment partnership. However, Pakistan needs to improve trade balance with Saudi Arabia. I think that is a good agreement of cooperation with Saudi Arabia in economic; investment and agricultural sectors. Both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have full potential of expanding cooperation in these sectors. I think that as per agreement, Pakistani students and academia will be able to visit and benefit from Saudi Universities and research centers. Similarly, Saudi teachers and students may also benefit from Pakistani agricultural institutes and research centers. Pakistan is a good dairy producer especially milk producer so it may export milk to Saudi market.  Special Investment Facilitation Council  (SIFC) provides one window facilities to investors and investors find all required facilities under one roof. Pakistan can enhance its trade cooperation and exports to Saudi Arabia by consolidating industrial base. Pakistan has good potential of exporting meat and other products to Saudi and other global markets.
