In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India has intensified efforts to impose a Hindutva-driven narrative in the Muslim-majority territory through political pressure, cultural imposition, and the use of draconian laws.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, while addressing an official function in Jammu, urged the Kashmiri people to sing Vande Mataram.

Observers say such official campaigns are part of a broader strategy by the BJP regime to enforce Hindu ideology in the internationally disputed territory.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly reacted to the development, stating that the imposition of Hindutva practices, including promoting Vande Mataram at official events, reflects a deliberate attempt to alter the territory’s identity and its distinct cultural and religious character.

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement, said that despite killings, arrests, and prolonged detentions, India has failed to suppress the Kashmiris’ demand for their right to self-determination.
