In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops have martyred 2,108 Kashmiris, including 46 women, since extrajudicial killing of popular youth leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani in 2016.

According to a report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of Burhan Wani's martyrdom anniversary, 364 were killed in fake encounters or in custody during the period.

The report said at least 30,318 people have sustained injuries due to the use of brute force, including the firing of bullets, pellets, and teargas shells on peaceful demonstrators and mourners by Indian military, paramilitary, and police personnel in the occupied territory.

At least 9,500 were injured by the use of pellet guns, of whom at least 115 lost their eyesight, while at least 1,800 Kashmiris, mostly youth, kids, girls, and women, became partial eyesight victims.
