
Chief Executive Officer of Alkhidmat Health Service Sufyan Ahmed reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the people of Palestine.
In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Qasim Bukhari on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, he highlighted that Alkhidmat Foundation, in collaboration with government of Pakistan and the National Disaster Management Authority has undertaken one of the largest humanitarian aid initiatives for Gaza, Palestine.
He said that to date, aid has been delivered through 30 air shipments, four sea cargoes and two land convoys, while 50 trucks from Egypt and 16 trucks from Jordan have reached Gaza.
He informed that the total relief delivered amounts to 5,500 tons of essential supplies, with a total value exceeding eight billion rupees.
Sufyan Ahmed said that Alkhidmat Foundation has sponsored 50 medical students from Gaza to pursue their studies in Turkey and Egypt.
He expressed heartfelt gratitude to all donors, partners, the government of Pakistan, NDMA and Pakistani missions abroad for their invaluable support, emphasizing that such collaboration has been critical in ensuring the success of these relief efforts.
