Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched electric bus service in Faisalabad on Monday. 

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Maryam Nawaz said launch of Faisalabad's first electric bus service marks a new era of affordable and eco-friendly urban transport in the province.

She said the project reflects provincial government's commitment to green initiatives, clean environment and modern transport facilities for the people.

She announced that, initially, thirty electric buses will operate on seven major routes of the city with fare of twenty rupees.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif also announced the launch of a modern Metro Bus project for Faisalabad, to be completed this year.
