In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, authorities have, once again, placed senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest in Srinagar, preventing him from visiting Budgam to offer condolences to the family of a minor girl killed in a brutal incident.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the 12-year-old girl from Galwanpora, Budgam, was abducted, raped, and murdered on Sunday.

The brutal killing has sparked widespread outrage across Kashmir, with political parties and religious leaders demanding strict punishment for those responsible.

Meanwhile, a massive cordon and search operation launched by Indian forces’ personnel in several areas of Rajouri district entered its fourth consecutive day today.

Indian authorities have also seized immovable properties belonging to two civilians in Islamabad and Reasi districts of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has said that the people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been deprived of their fundamental political and constitutional rights following the abrogation of Article 370.

Addressing a gathering, he said even after six years, Kashmiris have neither reconciled with the decision nor will they ever accept it in the future.
