An awareness session was held at Rawalpindi Women University to brief minority students on the Pakistan Minorities Welfare Fund Scholarship for 2026-27.

Representatives of the Punjab Governor's Coordinator for Minority Affairs and the Minority Massak Centre briefed students on support services, facilities and assistance available to minority communities.

During the session, the students were also briefed about other available avenues of educational and financial assistance.

The session focused on helping students understand the scholarship process, including eligibility requirements, application procedures and supporting documents needed for submission.

Participants were also informed about financial assistance schemes available through Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal.

Addressing the session, RWU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Tayyaba Zarif said the university remains committed to promoting student welfare and ensuring equitable access to educational opportunities.

She called for exploring additional scholarship and financial support opportunities for deserving students.
