The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has categorically rejected all unilateral actions taken by the BJP-led Indian regime in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir since August 2019, terming them illegal and void in the context of the UN-recognized disputed status of the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC Spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said that the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A and changes to domicile laws were part of a systematic attempt by the Modi-led BJP-RSS regime to alter the Muslim-majority character of Jammu and Kashmir.
He urged the United Nations and the United States to intervene for a just resolution of the Kashmir dispute to ensure peace and stability in the territory.
A gathering of Indian and Kashmiri political leaders, civil society members, and former bureaucrats in New Delhi has called for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's special status.
