Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said a team of qualified doctors, including an ophthalmologist, a cardiologist, and a physician, conducted a detailed examination of PTI founding chairman at the hospital and declared him medically fit.

In a post on X handle, he said that in the light of the Supreme Court's decision, the prisoner was taken to the hospital under appropriate security arrangements. He said the prisoner's sister Uzma Khan, remained present throughout all stages of the medical examination and treatment.

The Information Minister said the prisoner has been transferred back to Adiala jail after the completion of entire process.
