Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Syed Iftikhar Ali Gillani, says the government will take all necessary measures to protect lives, restore law and order, and safeguard the rights of every citizen.

In a post on his X handle, he expressed deep sadness over the tragic loss of innocent lives in Pindi, Bagh and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

He said five months of violence, intimidation and disruption by the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee have inflicted immense suffering on the people of that area.

The Prime Minister of AJK said it is time that the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee and its associates responsible for targeting civilians and undermining peace are held accountable.

He said the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government stands firmly with its citizens and the people deserve peace, security and normalcy.
