In India, the BJP's Hindutva leadership is erasing Muslim history and identity.
According to the Indian media outlet Muslim Mirror, the one-thousand-year-old historic Ganj-e-Shahidan Mosque in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, has become the latest target of the anti-Muslim Modi government, with a demolition notice already issued for the structure.
The BJP government has demolished more than twenty-three mosques, religious seminaries, Eidgahs, and shrines within a span of forty-five days.
The report highlights that the Hindutva regime is systematically targeting Muslim religious sites, ranging from the one-thousand-year-old mosque to a two-hundred-year-old shrine.
It further points out that since May, at least twenty religious sites, including mosques, shrines, and madrasas, have been razed.
