Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has reiterated government's commitment to supporting farmers and developing the sector.

She was speaking at a tractor distribution ceremony under Wheat Initiative Programme in Kala Shah Kaku on Thursday.

The Chief Minister congratulated one thousand farmers who achieved record wheat yield and became eligible for receiving free tractors.

Maryam Nawaz also unveiled major energy relief measures including a 95 percent subsidy on 10 KV solar systems and 90 percent on 15 KV systems.

She directed the Agriculture Department to offer agricultural machinery on rent to farmers at zero profit.
