In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed to the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take serious note of victimization of illegally detained Kashmiri political prisoners in various jails of the territory.
In a statement in Srinagar, the APHC spokesman said the Kashmiri detainees are being subjected to inhuman treatment and denied even very basic medical and legal facilities.
He said the so-called judicial trial of these prisoners is being stretched to prolong their detention to punish them for raising their voice for right to self-determination.
Meanwhile, Indian investigative news magazine The Caravan has contested Modi government's order to delete its story about torture and death of civilians by Indian army in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In a tweet, the magazine informed the readers that it gave the army forty eight hours to reply to its questionnaire because the story was based on facts everything was thoroughly searched.
On the other hand, protest demonstrations were held in Srinagar and Kupwara districts against the anti-people policies of the Delhi-installed administration.
According to Kashmir Media Service, lecturers staged this protest against an order by the administration that would drastically reduce their salaries.
