In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed to the United Nations and other international bodies to put pressure on India to release all Kashmiri political detainees.

In a statement, the APHC said Kashmiri prisoners, including leaders and activists, held in inhuman conditions in Indian jails and jails in the occupied territory, should be released.

Meanwhile, a report by Kashmir Media Service revealed that over 96,500 Kashmiris have been killed in the territory since 1989 by Indian forces.

The report detailed that over eight thousand Kashmiris were subjected to custodial disappearance and over eleven thousand women were molested during this period.

The report further revealed that Indian state terrorism and political injustice in the territory have intensified under the Narendra Modi-led BJP government following the stripping of the territory's special status on 5 August 2019.
