
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have paid rich tribute to the 22 Kashmiris who sacrificed their lives while braving the firing of Dogra forces in Srinagar in 1931.
In their separate messages on Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Kashmir today, they said the people of Pakistan join their Kashmiri brethren in commemorating the sacrifice of the martyrs.
The President urged the international community to play its due role in supporting efforts for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions.
The Prime Minister said lasting peace and stability in South Asia remains elusive till the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
He reiterated Pakistan's unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
