Consultant Psychologist Prof. Dr. Jamil Malik has stressed the need to promote research aimed at addressing indigenous issues.

In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan Correspondent Qasim Bukhari, he said more than one hundred of his research papers had been published in national and international research journals, while several book chapters were also to his credit.

Highlighting his research contributions, Prof. Dr. Jameel Malik said he was recognized as an International Young Researcher in 2009 in recognition of his PhD research.

He said the Higher Education Commission recognized him as a National Best Researcher in 2018 in acknowledgement of his research contributions and publications at the national level.

He said that, while supervising research projects, he had always focused on finding practical solutions to indigenous and local issues.

He also proposed that the incumbent government further strengthen and streamline the budgetary system of educational institutions so that students could fully benefit from government initiatives and available educational facilities.
