Polling on seven reserved seats of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held today.

According to the results, Maryam Zaman Kashmiri, Sehrish Qamar and Maryam Idrees of PML-N have been elected on seats reserved for women.

Farzana Yaqoob and Zubiya Khurshid of PPP have also been elected on two seats reserved for women.

Barrister Iftikhar Gilani of PML-N was elected on the technocrat seat.

Pir Mazhar Saeed Shah of PML-N was elected on the Ulema-o-Mashaikh seat.

Abdur Rehman of PML-N has already been declared elected unopposed on the overseas seat. 

Meanwhile, forty-six newly elected members of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly took oath today.

Speaker Chaudhary Latif Akbar administered the oath.

The house will now meet tomorrow at two in the afternoon.
