Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has called for the modernization of Sialkot's industries through technology and increased exports.

Addressing the German-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sialkot, he said Pakistan and Germany enjoy longstanding diplomatic relations and will soon celebrate 75 years of bilateral relations.

Ahsan Iqbal stressed that Pakistani industries must adopt modern technology to remain competitive.

The federal minister said Pakistan has potential to significantly increase its exports and there is a need to introduce new products and brands in international markets.
