Renowned politician, anchor, host and religious scholar MNA Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain died in Karachi after deterioration of health. He was 51.

His Driver found him in critical condition at home and took him to hospital with the help of police where he was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, police says it will investigate the matter to ascertain the cause of the death.

President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed grief and sorrow over the death of MNA Amir Liaquat Hussain.      

Commiserating with the bereaved family, they prayed for the departed soul.
