Deputy Director, Directorate of Public Instruction (Colleges), Punjab, Professor Syed Mohsin Raza Bukhari says provision of quality education is the foremost priority of the department.

In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan’s Correspondent Qasim Bukhari on International Literacy Day, he said comprehensive measures and wide-ranging reforms are being introduced in the higher education sector to meet modern academic and professional requirements.

He said the number of qualified faculty is being increased, quality assessment system is being strengthened, and academic programmes are being aligned with market demands to improve employment opportunities.

He said increasing enrolment, ensuring equity for all income groups, marginalized communities and women, and providing facilities for students from remote areas are key priorities.
