In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, one paramilitary soldier was martyred and another injured after armed miscreants of mischievous gang opened indiscriminate fire at two locations in Bagh and Tarar Khal Axis. 

The spokesperson for Azad Jammu and Kashmir Police said security forces responded effectively to the firing and killed one of the attackers at the scene. Two hand grenades, a Kalashnikov, three magazines with ammunition and a dagger were recovered from the killed attacker.

The AJK Police spokesperson said law-enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the attackers who fled the scene.

He said strict legal action would be taken against those involved in miscreant activities and no leniency would be shown towards elements attacking security forces and civilians.
