In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP-led Indian regime has intensified attachment and demolition drives of properties under the cover of so-called anti-drug operations, raising concerns among locals about targeted actions against Kashmiris.
The BJP regime-led authorities attached and demolished many houses, shops and structures in Srinagar, Islamabad, Jammu and other areas of the territory.
Locals say these actions are being used as a pretext to target Kashmiris and weaken their economic base amid their ongoing struggle for the affiliation with sentiments and right to self-determination.
Residents termed the allegations part of a pattern aimed at maligning the Kashmiri freedom movement and deflecting global criticism.
They further said such operations under black laws are designed to confiscate land and alter the demographic composition of the territory.
Police arrested half a dozen individuals in different areas during the ongoing crackdown operations.
