Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed motorcyclists to install safety rods on their bikes to prevent injuries caused by kite strings during the Basant season.

Talking to citizens during an interaction at Liberty Chowk in Lahore today, she said that there is no ban on riding motorcycles during Basant.

She said that motorcycles without safety rods will be impounded.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif said these precautionary measures are solely for the protection of citizens and are being implemented in the larger public interest.
