APHC calls for int’l probe into cases against Yasin Malik
September 03, 2026

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called for an international investigation into the cases registered against Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik.

In a statement, the APHC strongly condemned the Indian judiciary for the manner in which it is proceeding against illegally jailed Yasin Malik.

The APHC said Yasin Malik, who has been incarcerated in Tihar Jail, has been made to face fresh prosecution 36 years after the alleged incident, which raises serious questions about the timing, credibility, and purpose of the prosecution.

Meanwhile, Indian police have seized two buildings, six shops and two kanals of land belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir in Sopore district under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

India has banned the organization over its involvement in pro-freedom activities.
