Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad has said that Pakistan Railways is maintaining fuel stock of one month keeping in view the existing security situation in the country.

Addressing a press conference at railways headquarters in Lahore today (Saturday) he said emergency was declared in Pakistan Railways in the wake of tensions between India and Pakistan.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate VIP Jinnah Express Train on 20th of this month. Sheikh Rashid said Pakistan Railways is considering to start joint ventures with Turkish and Russian companies.

The Railways Minister said with improvement in economy, the condition of Pakistan Railways will also improve.
