Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed the relevant authorities to expedite work on under-construction Daanish university and schools across the country

He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad today, to review the progress on construction of 15 new Danish Schools across the country.

The Prime Minister directed to provide high-quality construction and third-party validation of Danish Schools and University.

He said Danish Schools and University are government's priority projects for providing high-quality education to the deserving students of the country.

The Prime Minister directed to install smart boards and digital libraries in every Danish School across the country.

He said the process of appointing teachers in Danish Schools should be merit-based and transparent, and preference should be given to local teachers of the area where the school is being built.                    

The Prime Minister also directed the authorities concerned to submit proposals regarding the establishment of a Danish Authority. 

The meeting was briefed about ongoing work on Danish Schools in different areas of the country and Danish University, Islamabad.  

The meeting was told that Danish School, Islamabad will be completed in December this year while these schools in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir will be completed by June next year.

Feasibility and design of Danish Schools in different areas of Balochistan including Sibi, Musakhel and Zhob have been completed and process of acquisition of land for Danish schools of Hub, Karachi and Chitral is underway.   

The meeting was told that with the approval of the federal cabinet, land has been allocated for Danish University.                   

The meeting approved appointing an expert consultant for feasibility and design of the university.
