Heavy rainfall has been recorded in various parts of Rawalpindi, with 201 mm recorded in Shamsabad, 186 mm in New Katarian and 157 mm in Golra, Islamabad.

In a statement, Director General of PDMA Punjab Saif Anwar Jappa said the district administration and WASA are on alert due to the risk of flooding in Nullah Lai.

According to PDMA Punjab, the rain spell is expected to continue till Saturday.
