Pakistan voices concern over rising religious intolerance
October 31, 2026

Pakistan has called for consistent and impartial attention by the Human Rights Council to grave human rights violations in situations of foreign occupation and the denial of peoples’ right to self-determination.

The remarks were made by Pakistan's Acting Permanent Representative to the UN Usman Jadoon while speaking at the presentation of the Human Rights Council’s report to the General Assembly.

The Ambassador also expressed deep concern over the growing prevalence of Islamophobia, religious intolerance, racism and xenophobia, urging sustained international efforts to counter hatred and promote mutual respect, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
