Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja has emphasized a joint effort by the government, technology sector and the public to counter cyber-security threats.

Addressing a seminar in Islamabad today, she highlighted the need for public awareness to protect citizens from fake calls, number cloning and banking fraud.

She urged people to stay vigilant rather than avoiding digital tools altogether.

The Minister noted that Pakistan's cyber-security standing is improving globally, backed by an evolving institutional mechanism.
