During the Question Hour in the Senate today, he said a total of one hundred and seventy-four FIRs have been registered against encroachers for making attempts to encroach Railway land.

He said land worth billions of rupees has been recovered over the last two years.

Hanif Abbasi also highlighted the steps taken for upgradation of railway stations in different cities including Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi.

The Minister for Railways said overhauling of locomotives is being carried out and this process will be completed by 23rd March next year.

To another question, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said the government advertising is released to serve a defined public interest purpose.

He said advertisements are released to inform citizens about government policies, programmes and initiatives as well as to project Pakistan's national narrative and interests.
