Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced development projects worth 23 billion rupees for the Kacha area.             

Chairing a meeting in Lahore today, she also announced the launch of "Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar" programme for the region.    

Maryam Nawaz said the government is committed to transform the region into a secure and developed area.

She said no untoward incident has been reported in the area over the past five months, reflecting the firm establishment of the state's writ.
