Acting Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan has said that Radio Pakistan is playing a valuable role in effectively communicating the national narrative.

Talking to Director General Radio Pakistan Saeed Ahmed Sheikh who called on him at the Parliament House in Islamabad, he said Radio Pakistan is an effective source of timely and credible information.

Syedaal Khan said Radio Pakistan has instilled patriotism and unity in the nation during times of both war and peace. He said the upgradation of the national broadcaster will enable prompt access to information for people in the remote areas.

He said the government is giving special priority to the information sector.

Syedaal Khan strongly condemned Indian propaganda and negative campaign, and praised the effective national response.

He mentioned that the Upper House has taken a bold stance against Indian propaganda.

The Director General said upgradation of Radio stations is underway in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The process of digitalization is also ongoing in Quetta, Khuzdar, Turbat, Gwadar and Makran.

He said Radio Pakistan is delivering quality broadcasts and entertainment to the public in a timely manner.

The Acting Chairman Senate assured full cooperation for the upgradation of the national broadcaster.
