Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has reaffirmed government's commitment to protect the fundamental rights of minorities.

He was addressing a ceremony in connection with Eid-e-Ridvan of Pakistani Bahai community held in Islamabad today evening, under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

The Minister said celebration of religious festivals by minorities not only promotes harmony but also creates a positive mindset in society.

Congratulating the Eid-e-Ridvan to Bahai community of Pakistan, he said Pakistan is a peace-loving and minority-friendly country.

Sardar Muhammad Yousaf underlined the need to eradicate all evils in society and further promote religious and social rights.

He urged to promote tolerance and harmony for the creation of a balanced society.

The Minister for Religious Affairs also highlighted the key role of minorities in the development and prosperity of Pakistan.
