The Punjab government has launched a smart field enforcement, monitoring and digital drone surveillance system to control smog and air pollution across the province.

According to Environment Protection and Climate Change Department Punjab, over three hundred million rupees in fines were imposed this year for environmental violations.

Meanwhile, the government has intensified measures to prevent the burning of paddy residue.
