
Punjab Minister for Local Government and Community Development Zeeshan Rafique says 184,000 workers of the "Suthra Punjab" initiative were engaged in sanitation duties during the Eid days across the province.
Addressing a news conference in Lahore today, he said more than 365,000 tons of garbage was collected and disposed of, while over 41,000 citizens contacted the helpline.
He stated that operational vehicles covered more than six million kilometers during the campaign.
The Minister said the Eid cleanliness operation was monitored through digital dashboards, and "Suthra Punjab" remained a trending topic on social media.
He also announced a 10,000 rupees reward for each sanitation worker, appreciating their efforts in ensuring clean surroundings during Eid-ul-Azha.
