Booking under the Private Hajj Scheme has gained momentum following the completion of bookings under the Government Hajj Scheme, with 80 percent of the available seats already booked.
This was stated by Spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Muhammad Umar Butt in a statement today.
He said around 15,000 seats remain available under the private scheme.
The spokesperson said pilgrims have deposited a total of 57.5 billion rupees towards Hajj dues.
The spokesperson clarified that the cost of animal sacrifice, amounting to 55,000 rupees, is already included in all private Hajj packages listed on the Pak Hajj App and the digital portal for the current year. He further said the selection and payment for additional facilities must also be made through the digital portal.
Muhammad Umar Butt urged those intending to perform Hajj under the private scheme to complete their bookings as soon as possible, as only a limited number of seats remain available. Pilgrims can use the mobile application or the Hajj digital portal for this purpose.
The spokesperson advised pilgrims to pay their Hajj dues exclusively through the official Hajj portal or the Pak Hajj App and refrain from making direct payments to any individual or company. The Ministry will not be responsible for any such transactions.
He said intending pilgrims need to complete their bookings and payments under the Private Hajj Scheme through the designated digital channels before the 20th of next month to ensure transparency in financial transactions and the timely completion of Hajj arrangements.
