At the United Nations, Pakistan says it has been undertaking constructive diplomatic engagement to promote de-escalation, ceasefire and stability in the region. 

Acting Permanent Representative of Pakistan Usman Jadoon while speaking at Security Council Briefing on Iran and Non-Proliferation said Pakistan remains concerned that the situation regarding the Iran nuclear file has sharply deteriorated, negatively impacting the consideration of the issue.

He said we consistently maintained that any issues of non-compliance must be addressed through competent technical bodies like the IAEA, without politicization and consistent with the relevant parties' rights and obligations.
